Cathleen Kargard

Cathleen is a botanist, private chef and baker, mother and teacher. She earned two B.S. degrees in botany and biology from Humboldt State University. She is currently enrolled in Early Childhood classes to expand her knowledge of teaching and child development. Cathleen worked as a field botanist and environmental consultant for nearly 20 years throughout California, Oregon and Washington. She has worked as a private chef and cooking instructor for the past 10 years. The mother of 3 daughters, two who attend The Waldorf School of Santa Barbara, the third in college at Portland State University, Cathleen enjoys cooking, gardening, time at the beach, camping and hiking with her family, reading, traveling, and teaching cooking classes to all ages.
