Juliette Lefèvre is devoted to the study and the offering of innovative early education to preschool children. Juliette loves to create environments where children’s unique talents can emerge and thrive and establish a foundation for the rest of their lives.

Born in France, she earned her degree with honors at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, followed by her certification in Early Childhood Pedagogy at the Montessori Centre International. After moving to Santa Barbara, she joined Sunrise Montessori School. When her son was born she embraced her dream of starting her own early education program and launched Sunflower Children Montessori at her home, with a focus on nature and outdoor play. After six years, while also volunteering with Wilderness Youth Project’s preschool group, this program evolved to become Earth & Sky Nature School, a 100% outdoor nature connection experience for little ones.

Juliette’s love of nature, art and the freedom of spirit brings joy to all the children who work with her. Juliette has been a delighted Waldorf parent for the last four years, and is excited to share her experiences and gifts, and lifelong love of learning, with the Early Childhood Program here at the Waldorf School of Santa Barbara, joining us for her first year as a Faculty member. Juliette feels grateful for the opportunity to learn the Waldorf methodology from this entire community of practitioners.
