Debbie Shaw Booth is a local businesswoman and parent of WSSB graduate, Zane Booth. Throughout the K-8 education of her son, Ms. Booth witnessed the riches of WSSB, the strength of character and depth of knowledge that accompany this education. Ms. Booth brings a great passion for Waldorf Education to her charge as Board Chair.
Ms. Booth graduated from UC Santa Barbara, majoring in Environmental Studies. She also studied at Santa Barbara City College, achieving an A.A. in Environmental Horticulture. She is a business owner with over twenty-nine years of experience providing award-winning professional landscaping services to private clients and governmental agencies. A selection of her company’s 200-plus projects has been featured on the PBS television show “This Old House,” in Sunset and Santa Barbara magazines, and in local newspapers, including The Santa Barbara Independent and The Santa Barbara News-Press. She received the “Goleta Valley Beautiful Award” for her landscaping work in 2004 and the “Santa Barbara Beautiful Award” in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2011. Ms. Booth has been nominated three times for the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Foundation Award and has been an active member of the Women’s Economic Council, Santa Barbara Contractors Association, and The Waldorf School of Santa Barbara.

Our son is a California Honor Society student, member of the Santa Barbara Swim Club, and captain of the United States National Lifesaving Youth Team.
